Powered by 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7-7820HQ Quad-Core processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card with 6GB of GDDR5 VRAM, the Surface Studio 2 is capable of handling everything from everyday tasks to professional-grade software like SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Autodesk. For storage, it’s equipped with a 1TB solid-state drive. Should you need more room, you can connect external storage solutions using its one USB 3.0 Type-C port and four USB 3.0 Type-A ports. While it doesn’t feature any optical drives, it does have an SDXC card reader, allowing you to quickly transfer files from mobile devices. The Surface Studio 2 also features a built-in 5.0MP front-facing 1080p webcam, 2.1-channel speakers with Dolby Audio Premium, and dual microphones, so you can video chat with friends and coworkers. If you’d like to connect external displays, two UHD 4K monitors are supported at 30 Hz, or connect one UHD 4K display at 60 Hz. Connect to the internet using the Gigabit Ethernet port or 802.11ac Wi-Fi, while additional wireless peripherals can be connected using Bluetooth 4.1 technology.
Microsoft’s Surface Studio 2 comes with a Surface Pen, Surface Keyboard, Surface Mouse, and a power cord with grip-release cable. The installed operating system is Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) and protection is provided by a limited 1-year hardware warranty.
