At release in 2017 the iPhone X realy embodied the future of Apple smartphones and pust the boundaries of an edge to edge smartphone that is now the blueprint of a premium iPhone.

Apple's iPhone X features a 5.8 inch edge to edge super retina display. To manage this Apple got rid of its fingerprint scanner and replaced it with its impressive face id. The result is the one big flaw that also houses its 7-megapixel selfie camera.

The X also got the alluminium bezels with glass rear surrounding the dual 12-megapixel camera. The alluminium and glass finishes make the X feel and look premium. Not only does it feel the way, its also still IP67 water-resistant.

The biggest talked about feature was the loss of the headphone jack, ultimately to make way for the powerful speakers. You can still use your old headphones with the adapter thats now included.

The iPhone X's 5.8 inch OLED HDR  display gives you brighter more coloful experience with true tone colors. Apple also included 3D touch in these models which gives you different selection options at different pressure sensitivity. Where the iPhone 8 Plus has 1300:1 contrast ratio , the X has a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

Face ID

The best feature about the iPhone X remains its highly intelligent face id. Powered by a a11 bionic chip the face id manages to get it right almost every single time. The feature uses TrueDepth camera system that makes a 3D map of your face. The image is then analysed by Apples A11 Bionic neural engine that process the image using complex algorithms.

All and all the Face Id does make using your iPhone a lot easier. Another cool feature that you can use the face ID with is Apple's Animoji feature which allows you to take a picture of yourself using the  TrueDepth camera and convert it to a live emoji.

The X has two 12MP cameras fitted in the rear with an improved true tone flash located in between. The 12MP wide angle camera that uses f/1.8 optical image stabilisation to reduce motion blur together with the 12MP Telephoto camera which also provide 2X optical zoom. The dual optical sensors provide beautiful portrait photos.

The front camera features a  7-megapixel selfie camera.
